I rocked myself to sleep last night
With thoughts of razors and my own blood.
Sick sick sick, I know, but it worked.
This is wrong wrong wrong. I have to stop.
Cover my arms in barbed wire and red roses
So pretty; who would know the roses once were white?
No no no, how can you get better
With sad sad sad twisted thoughts like that?
Sit at home, write poetry about love and death and change.
Here I'm safe. I really do feel better.
Lie lie lie, girl, you're dying and you know it
You can write write write, it means nothing.
Harsh words, yes, but harsh words are all you hear now
At least inside your head. This isn't healthy.
Look look look at you. How can you stand it?
Go on, cut cut cut, you know it's useless. . .
And demons bring the truth, and angels carry lies
And they fight fight fight
I am soldiers, battlefield, and prize.
And they all scream scream scream, and I agree,
"You can't go on like this."
