pleasant sunbaked daydreams
rubber and steel and glass
roll along the bumblebee roads
radio chatters
(please tell me why
the car is in the front yard)
impatient driver whizzes by
exhaust and dust and gone
why so hurried to reach a driveway
one thousand feet ahead?
relax and watch the roadside
gravel and trees and grass
march past in stately precision
warm green day
casting sleepy spells
drowsy and content
turn me over
i'm only half-baked

When this was on themestream. . . (filler! yay!)
"A little nothing I thought about 15 minutes ago, driving home. The drive was warm and
very nice, but a little drowsiness-inducing. Someone should hang a sign from the sun,
a giant warning label, that says, 'CAUTION: May cause drowsiness and extreme
good-naturedness.' Still, the drive was a lovely change of pace, sleepiness or no."
